So… I bought a DVD copy of this movie (All Cheerleaders Die) and about halfway through (40 minutes in… when the one cheerleader gets her leg caught in the bear trap) the DVD freezes.
Then, for the rest of the movie the sound seems a bit off.
Now, is this due to a defect in the burning of my DVD?
Or is it because that is the way the film was made?
I noticed that: 1.) the ADR was done at THREE different studios (which is uncommon for such a low-budget flick, and suggests that maybe the sound was messed up ‘cuz the film had post done at so many different studios) and 2.) the filmmakers (McKee and Siverston) seem to make the conscious decision NOT to shoot people’s faces when they talk.
Does anyone have any insight?
Anyone own or have seen this movie?
Can you tell me if the sound is messed up on your copy, or if your copy FREEZES when mine does?
Let me know.
I’ve already requested a replacement copy from the vendor who sold me mine.
We’ll see if the second copy is messed up, but in the meantime anyone with any information is welcome to share.
Please!
