New page, so it’s time for a new overview…

A short intro to this quiz for new readers: it’s basically a “guess-which-film-this-is” sort of thing.
We play with three movies at the same time. Once you have correctly guessed which movie a screenshot is from you earn the right to post a new screenshot yourself. Full rules can be found in the first post. The list of which films have already been used can be found in the second, third and fourth post. You’re allowed to re-use films though, so don’t worry if your favorite already received a turn some time ago.

You can participate even if you’re not interested in posting screenshots (or don’t know how to).
In that case just yell FREE-FOR-ALL when you’ve won and that means someone else can (and will!) take your place.

These are currently the three movies in play:

Movie #1:  Siltem has posted four screenhots for his new film, which is not “Mr. Vampire”, “Mr. Vampire 2”, “New Mr. Vampire” or “Spooky Encounters”.

Movie #2:  This one is mine, with two screenshots outstanding:

Movie #3:  Guitarbrother guessed “Funky Forest” (well, guessed… he KNEW) so it’s his turn!

Siltem,

is your movie The Dead And The Deadly?

It’s amazing how many of those films have been made. It’s not The Dead And The Deadly either.

To Visitor:
Yes it is! Well done, amazing movie even after after more than 75 years.
Both Tim Burton and Terry Gilliam openly admit this film as being a major source of inspiration. The beast’s make-up must have floored audiences in the 1930’s because it is still very impressive today.
Your turn!

To Siltem:
Dammit, is it “Mr. Vampire III”?
And you are right in saying many of these were made. Trying to look up more of these titles, to my astonishment I saw they even crossed over with the African “The Gods Must Be Crazy” series (introducing a Chinese hopping vampire into parts 3 and 4)!

To Guitarbrother:
Is that Albert Pyun’s “Cyborg”?

i took a wild guess cos that last still really looks like a young Yuen Biao.

No, it’s not Cyborg.  I’ve never seen that film.

As for the hopping vampire movie, I got the book Spooky Encounters a while back and was surprised to see the many, many hopping vampire movies.  They’ve become my favourite genre to watch if I’m sick.  However, I don’t have a clue what the one Sitem is showing, but I will see it once it’s revealed.  I’ll hazard a guess at Mr. Vampire 2 since I’ve recently seen 3 and don’t remember any of those scenes (word to the wise: Mr Vampire 3 is crazy, but awesome).

I’m now imagining a hopping Vampire in the south African savannah.

It’s not Mr. Vampire 2 or 3 either and it’s not Yuen Biao. The film is newer than anything guessed so far.

@guitarbrother: That isn’t Arnie in Batman & Robin, isn’t it?

The girl from Visitor’s film looks familiar but I can’t place it.

I’ll have some short holidays and probably can’t reply till Wednesday. Sorry about that.
