A short intro to this quiz for new readers: it’s basically guess-which-film-this-is.
We play with three movies at the same time. Once you guess which movie a screenshot is from you earn the right to post a new screenshot yourself. Full rules can be found in the first post. The list of which films have already been used can be found in the second, third and fourth post. You’re allowed to re-use films though, so don’t worry if your favorite altready recceived a turn some time ago.
 
You can participate even if you’re not interested in posting screenshots (or don’t know how to).

Indeed it is Michael Winterbottom’s “24 Hr. Party People”.
 
Damn, I thought it would have been guessed long ago after posting shots of Andy Serkis, Steve Coogan, Simon Pegg and Paddy Considine.
 
I love the scene from which I took the first shot, in which Tony Wilson discovers his wife having sex with the lead-singer of the Buzzcocks, in a “Gents” no less. After this shocking revelation, the old guy who cleans the toilets turns towards the camera and says “I really don’t remember any of this.”. Next you hear Tony the narrator: “This is Howard, the actual frontman of the Buzzcocks. He and my wife deny this ever happened. But I happen to agree with John Ford so I’m shooting the legend!”.

GOODNESS! i’ve seen 24 Hour Party People, and i don’t recognise any of the screenshots!

i keep telling people i now have holes in my memory, but no one believes me. here’s proof!

Hmm, my African movie seems to be more elusive to guess than I thought. I’ll post another two shots, and each can be considered to be a hell of a hint! Googling place names might help…

never seen the movie though.

Well done Visitor, it was indeed Richard Stanley’s “Dust Devil” .
A troubled production to say the least, but with the “final cut” safely on DVD (and released in a truly fantastic collector’s edition by Submersive, which comes highly recommended) Stanley has at last delivered a coherent and intriguing version of his story. It looks stunning in places too!
