You would have thought he would anyway being half English (wasn’t his Dad English…or was it his Mum?)

“Witchfnder General” - With no drop in quality of the footage or distracting edits back and forth between said footage…this complete print actually shows up just how brutal and bloody this GEM of British horror cinema is.  Thank you MGM!

“The Burning” - Thank you MGM again for a quality print,  AT LAST.
And both DVD’s have a delightfully British feel thanks to the extras with “The Burning” having Brit Jouno Alan Jones commenting with it’s British director (I actually had no idea this was directed by a Brit).
The sparkly new print does show up a bit of the latex work though.

“Black Candles” / “Evil Eye” - BCI, Grindhouse double bill.

“Black Snake Moan”

“The Last King of Scotland”

“A Fish called Wanda”

“Villain” - Underrated, camp and nasty 70’s Brit Gangster flick with Richard Burton having a great time as the homosexual, mother loving, East End thug.  At last on DVD and in a very nice print too.

I just recieved the Japanese DVD release of Strawberry Shortcakes.
http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/code-j/section-videos/pid-1004643857/
Ofcourse I think the film is excellent, otherwise I wouldn’t have bought an expensive import, but this is also one very stylish / beautifull dvd package. I love it!!!!

and now i’m posting in this thread. I have bought quite a lot over the last month or so (some to replace sold vhs tapes (which are excellent to fund a dvd collection btw grin), some to update my cult selection on dvd, some to extend my (still little grin) spaghetti western and giallo knowledge, and so forth):

super vixens
the sinful nuns of saint valentine (NL)
nightmare concert (NL)
suspiria
inferno
all the colors of the dark
for your height only / challenge of the tiger
matalo!
solange
inland empire (US version)
the prowler
the black gestapo
gwendoline
vampyros lesbos
ator the fighting eagle
conquest
the passion of the christ
ss hell camp
los muertos (NL)
the glamorous life of sachiko hanai
the art of love (NL)
vampyres
kiss me deadly
hundra
lukas moodysson box
the strange vice of mrs. wardh
almost human
school of the holy beast
horrors of malformed men
compañeros
strawberry shortcakes (J)
tokyo.sora (J)
happiness - series1

and still on their way to me are:

the fifth cord
behind convent walls
dust devil 5-disc box
alucarda
sweet movie

I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, really looking forward to that one!

it’s on offer at the moment, £80 instead of £150, if you look in the marketplace, you can get it for £50 plus postage!

Are you in the UK?  if so check out the HMV sale!  It’s a paltry £40 to pick up in store!

I only noticed it today, just after I had got “Reptile” and “Zombies” the day before!

Anyway…I did not have 13 of the 21 on DVD so I picked it up.  I’m going to sell the single discs to a 2nd hand shop.  Should get about £17 so that makes the box set only £23.

Go get ‘em!

“From Beyond” - Unrated.

“Don’t Go in the Woods” - Upgrade from my crappy DVD-R dupe for this delightfully gory, crazy, high body count ex-Nasty that is shamefully unloved.
