hi, anyone else having problems playing the “native” twitch hosted clips in firefox?  i can play most other clips, but with these, i have to open in IE.  I have a million add ons, but the one that is usually the culprit is noscript, and the clips dont play even if i allow all scripts.

ok, ok, i just opened firefox in safe mode and tried the black heaven clip and it works, so its one of my add ons…..unless anyone has a similar experience, i guess i need to do some testing of the add ons….

You are not alone in having issues with Firefox though. Twitch is v-e-r-y slow to load on Firefox and I cannot put my finger on what the problem is exactly.
Yesterday I gave up on loading the main page after re-re-retrying it, but when I used IE (out of sheer curiosity and disgust) it was there in a few seconds.

ok, through the process of elimination, the add-on causing the problem is Adblock Plus using filters of my own and “fanboys list” subscription. I’ll see if i can now figure out the problematic filter.

solved.  if using Adblock Plus (with fanboys list in this case) allow the scripts originating at indieclick.com.
(if you are using Noscript, one assumes you would already know to allow those scripts via that add-on, as well, as NoScript really means developing a robust whitelist as you go)
