I get all existentially fucked up trying to decide if I am supposed to be rating the post or the subject matter, especially if it’s a film review.

For example I gave Kurt’s review of the film Grace five stars but I wouldn’t give the film five stars.

I imagine the Twitch folks are looking for the former, to get a read on what people like to hear about, but that sends me down that hole again—I might be glad they post about something but what if the post itself is poorly written or uninformative? I gave Kurt’s review five stars because it was so well written not because I was really happy he posted it.

What approach do you take?

Whichever you prefer, really.  Those ratings will play in to how some of the upcoming planned features work and in some cases - like a trailer - it’s pretty clear cut but for the rest of the stuff I’d say it’s entirely up to you to decide what something is worth based on your own viewpoint.
