I am a writer and an independent filmmaker based in Mumbai, India. I was among the Top 50 young filmmakers in India, invited to participate in the 1st Indian edition of Berlinale Talent Campus in 2004.
I worked as 2nd unit director on A GREEN AGONY, a film on the impact of climate change in Sundarbans delta, India, for the British Council. The film was nominated at the Wildscreen awards, aka the Green Oscars, in 2006. I also worked as 1st AD to director Gregg Helvey, in the Indie short KAVI, which was nominated for an Oscar in 2010 in the Live-Action Short category.
I write regularly for Indian films and TV, especially for kids and youth programs. I have directed over a 100 songs and episodes for Indian television. I also co-directed a short films, GOOD NEWS, which won the Audience Appreciation award at the Digital Film Festival 2004, in New Delhi.
When I am not writing screenplay and dialogues for Indian movies, I am looking for ways to keep my indie-filmmaker bug alive n’ biting.
